For any skill level, join in this two session class where you learn to carve your own one of a kind ring. Your ring will be cast in silver and on Day 2 you’ll work on removing excess metal, cleanup, and polishing.

Learn the essential skills of laying out a pattern, boring out your ring size, cutting, carving, and preparing a wax for lost wax casting. Your ring will be cast in silver and you’ll learn the finer points of metal finishing to complete your ring.

All supplies and materials are included for 1 ring. Great for anyone new to making jewelry or students looking to refresh their old skills. No Prerequisite.

Please Note You will use sharp tools and and an open flame when wax working. Enrollees assume these risks and are expected to adhere to the safety guidelines taught in class.

There is a limit to the total volume of the ring and Lindsey will help you work within this boundary during class.

This class uses lost wax casting tools supported by the generous grant from RACC Portland. Learn more about the organization and its work supporting artists like Lindsey across the Portland Metro and tri-county region.
