Custom Deluxe is a professionally equipped jewelry studio and teaching space in Portland, OR. The studio is run by full time jeweler and artist, Lindsey Snell. Group classes are open to adults only and geared toward beginner and intermediate levels. Students have a unique opportunity to learn fundamentals inside a space designed and operated by a practicing artist and designer.

Exploring metalworking should not break the bank and by working collaboratively in a shared space with shared tools, Lindsey aims to make this age old craft approachable for a diverse group of makers.

Students get the benefits of working in Lindsey’s full time jewelry studio where she runs her business. The space is filled with professional tools that she has invested in for nearly 20 years and she is excited to share the ins and outs of working with each one that is most relevant for class projects.
This is a collaborative educational space that is made possible when all students follow the safety and organization guidelines set at the start of class.
Students are expected to follow guidelines for proper attire that are provided in the Guidelines and Policies. Eye protection is made available during class and is required when operating equipment and soldering.
Contemporary craft sits at the nexus of old and new and Custom Deluxe was founded as a communal space to serve just that.
We all know from experience that new technology is best when paired with the skills and tools that have been around forever.
